My dad, the self-proclaimed "Old Goat," is in the ICU up in Montana, getting ready to have his heart worked on in the morning with a double bypass surgery. Yikes. While I'm confident he will be OK and the surgery will go well, I still have than uncomfortable feeling of dread, like he got lucky this time. It was a close call and thankfully he sought medical attention soon enough.
It's hard to admit, but the guy is gettin' old. He will turn 68 in a few months...still way too young to kick the bucket, but he's no spring chick. I'm flying out in the morning to see him, not because I am freaked out that something serious will happen, but because I want to be there for my dad. Until tomorrow...

Kim, I am sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope all goes well with the surgery and that he recovers quickly. Glad you could go be with him. We will pray for him.
Kim, Gene and I wish your Dad a speedy recovery. He should feel like a new man after the by-pass so everyone tells me. Our prays go with you and your family.
