Loving summer



As you can see, Amanda is not wearing a helmet.  I allow the kids to go helmet-less while they ride on the sidewalks of the apartment complex, but once they leave the premises the brain bucket goes on.



If I say it once I'll say it a million times...this place is gorgeous in the summer.  I can't get over how green and pretty it is no matter where you go, whether it's the top of the McCullough Peaks overlooking our piece of heaven, or down Cody's tree-lined streets.  Today was perfect, the weather warm with a cool breeze that lured the kids outside for most of the day.  Brandon camped beneath a tree to read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for what seemed like forever, while Amanda rode her bike around and around the apartment complex until her legs hurt.  They finally came inside just before the sun plopped behind the mountains, dirty with the day's playfulness and tired from all the fun.
