Take your kids to work day

The kids and I joined Dave for the "Take Your Kids to Work" day, and they had a great time learning about the construction site he's currently working on. There was so much going on that Dave had a great opportunity to teach them about the various aspects of what goes into building a building. All the different sub-contractors were at work, and it was amazing how everyone automatically knew how to work around each other. Huge machines maneuvered through tight spaces while all different activities were going on...plumbers laying pipe, concrete workers laying foundation, and masons building walls just to name a few. I thought it was cool, the kids had a great time, and it was a hugely successful morning.
