beneath the piles of laundry
and the 3:30 am wake-up call
and the mounds of dishes that won't stay caught up
and the kids
and the bills
and the
and the

is a passion I once used to enjoy.
Drawing.
The picture above was done three years ago, and prior to that I hadn't sketched in several years.
I haven't picked up my charcoal or pencils since.
A reader commented on my last post that I may have put something on hold for the kids,
and now that they are in school I should rediscover it...
I'm thinking that's a good idea.

You are very talented. I agree with the "other reader." Life sometimes gets so hectic that we forget to take care of ourselves.

I think its definintely something you should do. If I had talent like that I'd be sketching everything. My kids, my dog, my kitchen sink....
