Needy

You know that feeling, when you go for long periods of time without...

and out of nowhere the Wal Mart greeter starts to look sexy.

And you turn your back to your kids playing in the swimming pool and instead face the gym full of sweaty basketballers.

And you wake up one morning feeling a little more confident than you've felt in a while,

and the make-up is applied with fervor.

With intent.

You stand a little taller, you linger a little longer, you smile a little brighter.

You seem to purr ever so slightly...

You're on the prowl.

You hope for a connection, some eye contact, a smile, from someone.

Anyone.

ANYONE.

anyone?

Then you realize you live in a very small town, and the pool of available men is more like a muddy puddle left in the footprint of a hamster,

and instead of looking like a saucy kitten you look like a desperate, haggard, single mom with baggage.

And lots of it.

Fuck it.

Take your tired haggard self and purr anyway.

Feel beautiful in your make-up.

Linger.

Smile.

Enjoy the confidence you have within and  know that you're worth it no matter what.

And if you do find yourself humping a strange man's leg,

know eventually he'll realize it was good for him too.

purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

That's the one draw back to small towns. They're wonderful to live in for the serenity and peacefulness, but thay definitely limit one's pool of dating partners. That being said, you're quite beautiful and I can't imagine you having a lack of suitors :)

Parental celibacy haha! Well I'm together with my girlfriend for over three years now, so I forgot how that must feel. I can only say with much certainty that there are particular lits out there, that will be a right fit on your particular pot. I wish one of these days, rather sooner then later, you'll find that lit for your pot :)! Love is like a dysfunctional parachute, you're falling and falling and the chute just wont wont open when you keep on pulling that cord... And then suddenly, right when you're about to hit the ground, it opens up and offers you the softest landing. I pray your chute opens up very soon and I'm sure it will. In the most unexpected corners, you'll find your love and warmth!

Loving yourself just as you are is the first step in being loveable. Loving your baggage and gray hairs and wrinkles and all the other fun things that show up as we age. Somebody else said we should always look our best, cause you never know who you'll meet next. Rock on Kimmie.

I do this sometimes while driving. I imagine the person pulling up to me is HOT. And I hike up my skirt a bit more and tilt my sunglasses just so….only to realize that guy beside me is an old Nannie. Oops. But that rush…so fun. Wish I could have that feeling when peeking into the mirror….in time...
