Day 16...changing our surroundings

Yesterday I found a desk at a thrift store, in excellent condition and it was half off! I now have all my office stuff neatly stowed in a desk, and as much as I would love an actual office, I'm thrilled about how my living room looks. I'm pretty sure Martha won't ever want to feature my apartment in her magazine, but I'm cool with that.

I think by tomorrow morning the kids will actually be able to eat breakfast at the dining room table instead of the coffee table, as the dining room table will no longer function as my office. Yay! That was one of the biggest changes I needed to make, and my living space is slowly starting to reflect how I want to feel...peaceful. Getting a dresser for the kids and a frame for my bed are next on the list, and my home will be complete. For now.

Sounds like you are well underway in the de-dormification of you home. Its a process for sure. Remember someone else may crave your cast off items as much as you when you first got them. Good luck replacing and purging something Everyday.
